This Week on Blu-ray (July 20th)
In another slow week for new movie releases, Digital Home’s top pick on Blu-ray this week is “Mother,” a South Korean drama about a mother who desperately tries to prove her son’s innocence in the murder of a local high school girl.
The movie currently has a 96% approval rating among top critics on the Rotten Tomatoes website and was selected as South Korea’s official submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at this year’s Academy Awards.
Also out this week on Blu-ray is “Insomnia,” an innovative 2002 psychological thriller starring Al Pacino, Hilary Swank and Robin Williams. The film takes place in a remote Alaskan town where a veteran Los Angeles detective (Al Pacino) arrives to investigate the murder of a local 17-year-old girl.
