Subscription satellite radio broadcaster Sirius Canada announced today it will broadcast two nights of live music this weekend from the North by Northeast (NXNE) music and film festival in Toronto.

The concerts on June 18th and 19th will be broadcast live on SIRIUS' Iceberg 85 and CBC Radio 3 channel 86 and will feature Canadian artists K-OS, Sloan, Said The Whale, Library Voices, Hannah Georgas, Bruce Peninsula, Attack in Black and Huron.

This year the 16th annual North by Northeast festival, which was patterned after the South by Southwest festival in Texas, runs from June 14th to June 20th in Toronto. During the event, over 650 bands from Canada and around the world will play in 50 music venues spread around downtown Toronto.



On Friday, June 18th, Sirius will be broadcasting live from Yonge & Dundas Square on Iceberg channel 85. Featured performers include: Said The Whale at 7:30 pm; K-OS at 8:30 pm and Sloan at 9:30 pm. All times are Eastern Time.

CBC Radio 3, channel 86, will be broadcasting from the Horseshoe Tavern on Queen Street on Saturday, June 19th beginning at 9pm. Scheduled performers include: Library Voices at 9:00pm; Hannah Georgas at 10pm; Bruce Peninsula at 11:00 pm, Attack in Black at midnight and Huron at 1:00 am.
