Skype for iPhone now supports 3G Calling

The Skype 2.0 iPhone app was released today which gives users the ability to make Skype calls over your 3G connection.

In the past, Skype users were only able to use the app to make Skype calls over Wifi.

iPad sales top two million units

The iPad has sold more than two million units since it first went on sale just under two months ago, Apple announced today.

For most of that time, the iPad was only available in the United States. Apple only began shipping the iPad to Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK this past weekend.

Wind Mobile to launch in Vancouver June 3rd

Wind Mobile has announced it will be launching mobile phone service in the Vancouver market this Thursday June 3rd.

Vancouver is the fifth city that Wind will be offering service in. The company now offers wireless phone service in Toronto, Calgary, Edmonton and Ottawa

NDrive lowers price of iPhone GPS app to $10

Ndrive Navigation Systems, a Portuguese company that specializes in GPS navigation applications, announced today that it has launched version ten of its iPhone GPS app at a lower price.

NDrive Canada will now sell in the iTunes Canada app store for $9.99, down from $29.99 earlier this month and down from $45 when it was first released last October.

Telus iPad 3G data plan announced

Over the weekend, Telus announced that it has now begun offering a dedicated data plan for the iPad 3G.

While Bell and Rogers offers two thirty day plans- $15 for 250 MB and $35 for 5GB – Telus will offer just one plan.

This Week on Blu-ray (June 1)

Digital Home’s top pick on Blu-ray this week is “Alice in Wonderland,” Tim Burton’s version of the Lewis Caroll classic which stars Johnny Depp, Helena Bonham Carter, Anne Hathaway and Mia Wasikowska as the title character.

In the film, Alice is now nineteen years old and accidentally returns to Underland (misheard by Alice and believed to be called Wonderland), a place she visited thirteen years previously.

Sirius XM Radio Android App Now Available

U.S. Subscription satellite radio provider, Sirius XM has announced that its free Android smartphone App is now available .

Through the free application, Sirius XM Premium online subscribers can access over 120 stations at no additional charge. Some select programming including NFL Play-by-Play, Nascar Radio, and Howard Stern, is not available.

Bell Aliant to offer FTTH in Sydney this fall

Bell Aliant today announced its plans to bring a fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) network to 30,000 homes and businesses in Sydney Nova Scotia this fall.

FTTH connectivity is notable because it allows telecommunications providers to offer numerous services such as high definition television along with very fast internet speeds.
