Chrome web browser steals share from IE and Firefox
The Google Chrome web browser gained 0.6% of global market share in January from the previous month according to figures published today by NetMarketshare.
Total worldwide usage for Chrome was 5.2% in January, more than triple the 1.5% recorded in January 2009.
Internet Explorer remained the browser of choice worldwide with a 62.2% share, however, that figure was down significantly from 69.7% in January 2009. Firefox was the second most popular browser in January with a 24.4% share. Firefox’s share was up from 22.1% in January 2009 but down from its peak of 24.7% in November 2009.
According to NetMarketShare, Chrome now has gained market share in each of the last twelve months and is now the world’s third most popular web browsing software. Safari had been in third spot until passed by Chrome in November. Safari has been gaining market share for the last twelve months albeit at a much slower pace than Chrome.

I have Firefox, Chrome and Opera installed on Ubuntu Linux 9.10. While Firefox is the nicest looking of the three, Chrome is definitely the fastest. Opera sucks
