U.S. Web Users spent 66 hours on the web last month

researchWeb users in the United States last month spent over 66 hours surfing the net according to recent research from the Nielsen Company.

The most popular brand on the web was the Google group of sites which attracted more than 155 million visitors in November. Next up was the Microsoft group of sites with 137 million visitors and in third spot was Yahoo! with 131 million visitors.

Researchers say the total number of web surfers for the month was 195.15 million out a potential universe of 234.4 million. Those 195 million users spent an average of 66 hours, 28 minutes and 44 seconds on the web.

Nielsen also reported that the average web user went on the web 51 times during November, visited 86 domains and clicked through 2,603 web pages. The average time spent on any one web page was just 57 seconds.
