Google adds nine more Canadian Cities to Street View
Google Street View, a feature of Google Maps and Google Earth that shows high-resolution street-level images, has added nine new Canadian cities to its roster.
The new cities from east to west include: St. John’s, Sherbrooke, London, Sudbury, Winnipeg, Saskatoon, Edmonton, Nanaimo and Victoria.
The other eleven Canadian cities in the street view universe include: Toronto, Calgary, Montreal, Quebec City, Halifax, Vancouver, Squamish, Whistler, Ottawa Kitchener and Waterloo.
The service which provides panoramic views of street from a height of about 2.5 metres was launched in May of 2007 and is now available over ten countries including the U.S., Canada, U.K., Australia and Japan.
To deliver the images, Google has been shooting Street View images in Canadian cities since 2007. Vehicles are currently operating in Vancouver B.C.

Peg Man
To use Street View, Google Map users search for a location in Google Maps in the normal fashion. If a street view map of the particular address is available, a small yellow “peg man” will appear above the Zoom bar on a Google Map (see image). Next, just drag the yellow man onto the map and a street view image will appear above the Google map.

Google Street View of Yonge and Dundas
In our example, done when Street View was first announced in Canada in October, we searched Google Maps for Eaton Centre in Toronto. Once we saw the Yellow Peg man, we simply dragged him to the corner of Yonge and Dundas and were presented with the image below.

For current status see

which shows Vancouver only
I would like to point out that I saw a google maps vehicle in my little town in sk… and it is not Regina or Saskatoon…
Got to wonder why they didn’t do the capital city in NB.
Curious to see what Lethbridge will look like on Google Street View. Nice city with a lot of history.
I was just browsing the streets of Cancun so you can add Mexico to countries with StreetView cities. Truly a great application to familiarize one with areas you plan to visit.
you can add Banff & Lake Louise to the list
