Videotron adds ten American series to VOD
Videotron, Canada’s third largest cable television provider, recently added 10 popular American series in standard definition to its illico Video on Demand (VOD) service.
Under agreements with CBS Studios International, NBC Universal and FOX, Videotron customers will be able to watch the shows in the original English version or in French.
Subscribers will have access to more than 300 episodes of Medium, Shark, Numbers, the original Beverly Hills 90210, Prison Break and 24. In addition, 180 episodes of the current season of House, Heroes, Las Vegas and Monk will be added to the service in November.
Video on Demand (VOD) is a a pay-per-view television service which allows a viewer to order a television program from a menu and have it delivered instantly to the television set, typically with the ability to pause, stop, rewind and fast forward programming.
The series are available in standard definition at $4.99 for a 7-day rental of 3 episodes. All illico Digital TV subscribers can access illico on Demand on channel 900.
