TSN2 comes to MTS
IPTV provider, MTS Allstream Inc. has announced that TSN2 in standard definition is now available to its MTS Classic TV and Ultimate TV customers.
The station, a secondary feed of the Canadian English language speciality channel TSN, typically airs TSN programming which aired live earlier in the day along with an average of one live exclusive event or game per day.
For example, European-based sporting events which air live on TSN in the daytime, such as Champions League Soccer and select IIHF tournaments and games are repeated later in the day on TSN2. This season the station will also air 36 NHL hockey games not available on TSN.
TSN2 in standard definition will be included in the basic service group on MTS Classic TV and Ultimate TV on channel 170. Digital forum readers have informed us that MTS subscribers may be able t expect TSN2 in HD later this month.

Yes and there’s more to come. MTS will also be adding AMC, TCM, and Playhouse Disney to their family package and they will also be adding several HD channels including Cdn/US west time shifts, Discovery HD, History HD, Big Ten Network HD (and I assume SD), Sportsnet HD East/Ontario/Pacific, SRC HD, CBC Newsworld HD, and I believe one other SD channel, but i’m not sure what.
