Rosie Radio launches next week on Sirius XM

sat_radioStand-up comedian, actress, author and television personality Rosie O’Donnell will launch her new daily morning show, “Rosie Radio” on Sirius XM on Monday November 2nd.

Broadcasting from a custom-built home studio, O’Donnell’s live two hour weekday show will invite calls from listeners across the country to hear what’s on her mind, and to tell her what’s on theirs.

The forty seven year old O’Donnell is probably best known for her Emmy Award winning Rosie O’Donnell daytime talk show which she hosted from 1996 to 2002 and for her role as a liberal minded moderator on “The View” in 2006 and 2007 where she often provoked criticism from the religious right.

O’Donnell told TV Guide that she was approached by Sirius XM after an appearance on Howard Stern’s show. Rosie agreed after the satellite radio broadcasters agreed to her request that the show be broadcast from home where she four children.

“Rosie is a singular, powerful voice with extraordinary appeal, and we are thrilled to be able to connect her with our subscribers every day on Rosie Radio,” said Scott Greenstein, President and Chief Content Officer, Sirius XM Radio.

Rosie Radio will air Monday through Friday from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm ET/7:00 – 9:00 am PT on Sirius XM Stars, Sirius channel 102 and XM channel 155. Rosie Radio will replay from 8:00 – 10:00 pm ET/5:00 – 7:00 pm PT, with a “Best of the Week” airing at various times on the weekend.
