Kindle Reader: Available almost everywhere but Canada
Amazon today announced that its best selling Kindle ebook reader, which was previously only available in the United States, is now available for sale in more than 100 countries around the world but not in Canada.
Consumers around the world can pre-order the Kindle with high-resolution 6-inch electronic ink display, built-in GSM wireless modem and international wireless connectivity for $279 USD beginning today.
Shipment of the International Kindle will begin on October 19th. The Kindle with U.S. Wireless connectivity only is available for immediate shipment for $259 USD.
Visitors to the Amazon site who country specific information are greeted with the following message: “Unfortunately, we are currently unable to ship Kindles or offer Kindle content in Canada. We are working to make Kindle available to our Canadian customers as soon as possible.”

Well, Sony it is for me. I have no interest in products not made available in Canada. You can’t tell me our laws are so stringent that Kindle can’t make it’s way.
As well, the wireless is not of an interest. It’s not like i need to find a hotspot cause a book jumped in my head and i need to download it right there and then.
